KAST
A stablecoin account with a Visa card, for people who want to hold US dollars and spend them by card. You can get US account details (ACH, wires and SWIFT, not offered in every country) and a EUR IBAN to receive money, and crypto sent on any of 14 networks is credited as dollars. KAST is a technology company, not a bank: your balance is a claim on KAST rather than a deposit, and it isn't insured. KAST doesn't publish a full list of the countries it serves (it's only in the app), so check before you sign up. This verdict is based on KAST's own terms and help pages; we'll add what users say once there are enough reviews to score.

- Not a bank: your balance is a claim on KAST and isn't insured
- The full list of countries it serves is only shown in the app

Fees
Fees checkedMonthly fee
Paid tiers are billed yearly up front: Premium $1,000/year, Private $10,000/year. The Terms add a $1/month inactivity fee after 12 months with no transactions. KAST Business: Standard plan free, Business Global plan $10,000/year.
Receiving money
KAST pages disagree. The receive-USD article (Sep 2026) says SWIFT costs $35, and the SEPA article (Aug 2026) says SEPA deposits are free. I used the fees page updated 19 Oct 2026. Other crypto is auto-converted to stablecoin for a token-specific fee. SPEI and ARS deposits are 0%; COP and PIX deposits 1%.
Sending and withdrawing
Payouts go to bank accounts in 30+ currencies, priced per corridor (for example GBP $3 + 1%, AUD $4 + 1%, EUR via SEPA 1% with no fixed fee). Stablecoin withdrawals: $0.20 + 0.1% (Arbitrum) up to $6 + 0.1% (Ethereum), minimum $5. KAST Tag transfers between users are free. The USD account article says USD Global Payouts via SWIFT are temporarily unavailable.
Currency conversion
Applies to non-USD card spend. The rate depends on country of residence, country of the transaction and card program. Non-USD transactions under $25 cost $0.10 more. Insufficient-balance declines cost $0.50. KAST Business pays 1.75% (minimum $0.25). Eligible BRL card purchases have 0% FX.
Card
Standard tier. Premium and Private memberships include their physical cards. Maximum 10 cards per account. KAST Business: virtual cards free, plastic $40, metal $200.
ATM withdrawals
Physical card only. Limit: up to $500 per withdrawal and up to 3 withdrawals or $1,500 per 24 hours. Older articles say $250 per withdrawal and $750 per 24 hours; I used the fees page and the limits article updated 17 Oct 2026.

Is my money safe?
- Technology companyKAST calls itself a technology company, not a bank. Regulated services (virtual accounts, cards, custody, on/off ramp) come from licensed partners. The Terms treat a crypto deposit as a sale to KAST: the user then holds a USD-denominated debt claim against KAST, not a deposit. Cards are issued by Third National, with Rain (Signify Holdings, Inc.) as program manager, per the KAST Brasil terms.
- No licence named KAST's own pages name no licence held by any KAST entity. They describe KAST as a tech company using licensed partners. KAST Brasil has a CNPJ and plans to file for Brazilian VASP authorisation by 30 Oct 2026. KAST says it is not licensed yet. I did not check an Anjouan register; Reg No. 16223 is a company registration number, not a licence.

- KAST Prestadora de Serviços de Ativos Virtuais Ltda. (CNPJ 68.675.443/0001-16) · Brazil
- Partner banks Leads Bank (USA), named by KAST as partner for the USD virtual account Third National (San Juan, Puerto Rico), card issuer BANEX Microfinance Bank Limited (Nigeria), markets the card to Nigerian users
- Deposit protectionNo deposit insurance. KAST's Terms say accounts are not insured against losses. The Reserve Account terms say balances are not covered by FDIC, FSCS or any other deposit guarantee scheme.
- Who holds the moneyCustodial by default. Crypto sent to KAST is sold to KAST and held by a partner custodian (such as BitGo) for KAST. The user holds a USD-denominated claim on KAST. Self-Custody Mode (KAST Personal, where enabled) holds the USD balance as USDC in a dedicated Privy wallet on Solana. USDKY vault balances also sit in a Privy wallet.
